New Product: IWC Portuguese Chronograph Ceratanium

IWC's latest high quality replica watches release is truly eye-catching. Not only is the timepiece itself striking, marking a new step for IWC, but its launch was also unique. The watch was officially launched at a concert in Melbourne at 7:30 pm, where Ed Sheeran was seen wearing it.

This watch represents a breakthrough for the Portuguese collection, which has almost always been considered a classic timepiece. Classic proportions and a very traditional design. But now, the Portuguese collection has entered what IWC calls "dark mode." The watch is entirely made of black Ceratanium, IWC's name for its proprietary ceramic. The case and buckle are both made of Ceratanium. The crown, pushers, and the dial with applied hour markers and hands are also in the same black hue. However, the press release did not specify the material used.

This is an all-black replica watches for sale. Its visibility in normal light must be very poor. As of press time, it is unclear whether the dial has a luminescent coating, which would affect readability in the dark.

This watch is powered by a fairly common chronograph movement—the 69355 caliber. Aside from the very dark pattern on the case back, there are no other notable features. We are unsure whether the movement itself has been blacked out or if it is simply behind a dark-tinted glass.

IWC Schaffhausen proudly presents the Portuguese Chronograph Ceratanium®. This iconic chronograph appears in a new all-black version, with a case crafted from IWC's in-house Ceratanium® material, combining lightness and durability with a unique dark sheen. In addition to the Ceratanium® case, crown, and pushers, the watch features a black dial, black hour markers and hands, and a matching rubber strap. The Portuguese Chronograph Ceratanium® is limited to 1500 pieces.

Since its debut in 1998, the Portuguese Chronograph has infused the IWC Portuguese collection with a dynamic elegance. With its two vertically arranged subdials and inner bezel featuring a quarter-second scale, this chronograph has become one of the most recognizable and popular luxury replica watches designs from the Swiss haute horlogerie house. Now, IWC reinterprets this timeless classic with a creative twist: the first all-black version crafted from Ceratanium®.

This Portuguese chronograph (model: IW371631), limited to 1500 pieces, features a 41mm case, crown, and pushers all made of Ceratanium®. Ceratanium® is an advanced material developed in-house by IWC, combining the lightness and strength of titanium with the hardness and scratch resistance of ceramic. Based on a special titanium alloy and fired at high temperatures, Ceratanium® exhibits a unique deep metallic luster. The all-black design, with a black dial, black hour markers, and black hands, exudes sophistication and elegance. The Arabic numeral hour markers, subtly highlighted and striking against the black dial, are further enhanced by the black dial. The black rubber strap, adorned with a square texture, perfectly complements the watch's integrated style.

The Portuguese Chronograph is powered by the IWC in-house Calibre 69355, a mechanical chronograph movement designed for robustness, reliability, and durability. The column-wheel control mechanism of the chronograph functions clearly displays each stage of the switching sequence and provides distinct tactile feedback when the buttons are pressed. The movement features an automatic double-pawl winding system, providing a power reserve of up to 46 hours. https://www.whereguidewatch.com
